Graduation Day

Yesterday was Graduation Day for the high school where I teach, and I'm still feeling emotionally spongy this morning.  The problem with a small school (our graduating class had fifteen students), is that you really get to know (and become attached to) each and every student, and it's really hard to say good-bye.  Anyway, the students had asked me to give the commencement address, which I did.  It was my first, and I made a hash of some of it (I totally forgot how to play harmonica, for example), but I thought I would post it, just because I worked hard on it, and...well, how often do you see a speech that quotes William Faulkner, Victor Hugo, and Yoda?  Anyway, here it is, for better or worse...
